The Ghosts of Sleepy Hollow (World Premiere)

Tis the season for ghosts and goblins and rightfully so as the legendary tales of Washington Irving have arrived at the Dallas Children’s Theater (DCT) just in time for Halloween!  The World Premiere of The Ghosts of Sleepy Hollow (GHOSTS) by Phillip Schaeffer is currently in production!

GHOSTS is a special production for the theater, as Schaeffer is the son of longtime DCT employees Nancy and Karl Schaeffer.

Schaeffer shares, “Growing up at DCT certainly set me on the path to working in the entertainment industry!”

“I always particularly enjoyed when the Halloween shows would roll around. When it comes to scary movies, I always found live theater much spookier than movies or TV could be.”

GHOSTS takes audiences deep into the haunting woods of Sleepy Hollow to see why the terrifying tales of Washington Irving have been favorites for fireside spookfests for over a hundred years.

The show is presented by the Teen Scene Players.

Watching the play, I forgot that I was watching a production of teens as they all dived into their roles with such professionalism! Bravo to the cast!

THE GHOSTS OF SLEEPY HOLLOW runs on the stage of DCT’s Studio Theater October 16-30. The show is recommended for ages 11 and up. For tickets, call the Box Office at 214-740-0051 or visit http://www.dct.org.
